Series BD | Screw jacks

Screw Jacks are the ideal product to push, pull, lift, lower and position loads of anything from a couple of kilograms to hundreds of tonnes. Many of our customers prefer our Series BD Screw Jack in preference to hydraulic or pneumatic jacks because of their greater precision and consistency.

Screw Jack Products

Our wide range of screw jacks consist of a mechanical worm gear screw jack with trapezoidal lifting screw available with translating lifting screw or lifting nut.

They come in 8 standard sizes and Can Lift up to a capacity of 1,000kN (100 tonnes) or 1,500kN (150 tonnes) on request. They can run at a Lifting Speed of up to 2.4 m/min which is 40 millimeters per second. These lifting screws can be made up to 4 meters in length and longer ones can be made upon request. Our worm gear screw jacks are self locking in the majority of non vibrating operating conditions, which means enhanced safety and a cost saving passed on to our customers.

Our mechanical worm gear screw jack with trapezoidal lifting screw is available with translating lifting screw or lifting nut is further enhanced with our BDK and BDKL range, which are capable of Lifting up to 125kN (12.5 tonne) or 200kN (20 tonne). A ball screw is available up to 500kN (50 tonne) and a roller screw is available on request. These types of worm gear screw jack are capable of Lifting Speeds of up to 5.4 m/min which is 90 millimeters per second. These units are not self locking and must be combined with a brake arrangement.
