DAVID BROWN CELEBRATES OFFICIAL OPENING OF NEW FACILITY IN MIDDLE EAST

On 6th June 2011, HM General Consul for Dubai and representatives of the Jebel Ali Free Zone Association (JAFZA) cut the ribbon to officially open David Brown’s new Middle East manufacturing and service facility in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

The 1100m² of manufacturing space, will enable David Brown Middle East FZCO to provide fast turn-around design, manufacturing and repair services for gears and gearbox components, mainly for customers in the oil and gas, cement and petrochemical industries and the team is already responding to strong demand in the region. David Brown’s Chairman, Jim McColl, OBE and Chief Executive, John Paterson welcomed HM Consul General Guy Warrington, customers, partners as well as representatives from JAFZA to the official opening ceremony, a tour of the new facility and a networking lunch.
