The David Brown service centre, which is also equipped with two industrial cranes and a mobile crane, has the capability to service, repair, upgrade and provide strategic maintenance for customers in industries such as oil and gas, mining and conventional power, as well as industrial processing of sugar, metals, rubber and paper.
The opening of its Indonesian service centre is just part of David Brown’s global strategy to provide industrial gearbox service and support to its customers throughout the world. Since early 2011, David Brown has opened new service centres across South East Asia, the Middle East and in South America to serve its customers with local gearbox service and support. To continue developing its global network throughout 2012, David Brown has plans to open additional service centre facilities in strategic locations across North America, South America, India as well as a further facility in Africa.
The service centre is a joint venture agreement with David Brown sales representative Putra Mas and is operational from more than 1200 square metres of workshop facilities. The joint venture combines David Brown’s long standing reputation for gear engineering and support, with Putra Mas’ in depth knowledge of the Indonesian market.
David Brown already has a network of established sales agents in the region including PT. Technindo Contro Matra, PT. Indokomponen System Fluida, PT. Kota Minyak Internusa as well as Putra Mas, and has recently opened a sales office in Singapore.
"Developing our global service centre network is just part of our strategy to ensure our customers have specialist gearbox service and support teams in their local area. Partnering with a company like Putra Mas, who has successfully represented David Brown in Indonesia for a number of years, ensures we can deliver global experience through a local team of experts. I’m looking forward to working with the team to serve our customers in this region." - Steve Watson, Managing Director of Global Aftermarket Services
